Top Ten Books I Feel As Though Everyone Has Read But Me

It’s Top Ten Tuesday REWIND, for which we pick from previous topics
that we’d like to do again or may have missed. Here are the
Top Ten Books I Feel As Though Everyone Has Read But Me
Some of these I know everyone has read but me!

1. Harry Potter by JK Rowling. As in, the entire series. – I know, I know. Please be gentle. They are sitting on my Nook though, and I have seen two or three of the movies *duck*. Which leads me to…
2. The Lord of the Rings (as well as The Hobbit) by J. R. R. Tolkien. I have trouble getting into fantasy books, can you tell?
3. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. So many great reviews of this one, but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to read it yet.
4. Insurgent and Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I really enjoyed Divergent, but for some reason haven’t gotten around to the rest of the trilogy.
5. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. It seems everyone read this one in school, but it wasn’t even on the list at my high school. (We did read Richard Wright’s Native Son, though). My spouse owns a copy of it, so it’s on our bookshelf, waiting for me.
6. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I don’t even know what it’s about, but I keep seeing references to it all.over.the.place.
7. Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James. No interest whatsoever.
8. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I feel like such a sci-fi loving poser for not having read this!
9. The three books that come after Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. I got 1/3 of the way through the second book and just could.not.continue. I’m kind of embarrassed to admit I enjoyed the first book.
10. Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Another one of those books I hear so much about, it’s on my TBR list, but I haven’t gotten around to it.
How about you? Am I alone? Is there something on my list you haven’t read, either? 😉
