Sunday Salon

Time // 1:30 a.m.

Temperature // I’m including this because it’s a glorious 45 degrees outside right now. I love this weather! (Proof that I am not meant to be a Floridian, ha.)

Drinking // Peppermint tea with honey.

Watching // Sundays around here are all about Doctor Who and The Walking Dead, so I’m looking forward to those tonight. This weekend, my spouse and I finished watching Transparent on Amazon Prime. We blew through all of the episodes in a couple of weeks. So good. Can’t wait for season two.

Listening // One of my high school flute students is principal flute with the Mobile Youth Symphony Orchestra this year! Their first concert is today, so I’m driving over to hear it. I’m bringing C along with me; it’ll be her first time attending a symphony concert.

Voting // We voted by mail weeks ago. I’ll be glad when this week is over; election time brings out the misanthrope in me. But speaking of voting, Shannon at River City Reading is hosting a Book Blogger Top Picks 2014. Too fun! If you haven’t voted, you still have a few days left to do so. No postcard shaming involved, either! 😉

Reading // I’m almost finished with this biography of Juliette Gordon Low and the audiobook of Haruki Murakami’s What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. If I luck out, C will fall asleep on the drive back from Mobile, and I can finish the Murakami then.

Anticipating // Nonfiction November starts this week! I’m also going to join in on the #24in48 Readathon, which is new to me. It’s happening November 15-16, and I have surprisingly little to do that weekend (knock on wood). You basically try to read 24 of the hours in a 48-hour span. That sounds very doable.

Hope you all have a great week!
