August 2016 Reading Wrap-Up

august2016-reading

Only five books read in August, but they totaled 1,930 pages because I finished the chunkster Dune: House Harkonnen. Only one more prequel to go until I start reading Dune! I’ve already written reviews for In Memory of Bread and Textbook Amy Krouse Rosenthal (both are fantastic reads) and reviews for the others will be coming soon.

Right now I’m reading Dune: House Corrino. I also started Good Christian Sex for a TLC book tour. Read the description and tell me this doesn’t have “piss people off” potential! Some of the Goodreads reviews are already pretty angry, which only makes me want to read it more.

Cheers to September reading!

  • Wow, those really are some angry Goodreads reviews! I will keep an eye out for your thoughts on the book. It sounds like an interesting read!

  • I thought there was only one Dune book.. lol… Happy September!

  • Wow! There is a lot of rage over there on that Goodreads page. I respect the fact that people have strong convictions about eschewing sex before marriage. But I have trouble understanding why this incites such righteous indignation as opposed to, say, social injustice throughout the world.
